Ancient Opera Stage of Dongshan She Village, Jiaocheng

Sited in Dongshan She Village, Jiaocheng District, Ningde, this well-preserved ancient Qing Dynasty opera stage is constructed with traditional wooden frameworks. 

Its beams and panels are adorned with intricate She-style wood carvings of vivid figures, flowers and birds. 

Still operational for major events including the She people’s March 3 Festival and traditional holidays, it hosts Min Opera and exclusive She ethnic operas, serving as the core public cultural space for folk performances and collective ethnic memory in eastern Fujian’s She villages.
