Ziyang Academy, Wuyi Mountain

Ziyang Academy on Wuyi Mountain was where Zhu Xi composed works and delivered lectures for decades, situated beside the Nine-Bend Stream amid mountains and rivers. The simple white-wall academy with winding waterside corridors is surrounded by ancient osmanthus and green bamboo, preserving Zhu Xi’s lecture platform and stone steles.
