Ruiyun Pagoda, Fuqing

Ruiyun Pagoda in Fuqing is a seven-story solid stone pagoda built in the Ming Dynasty, standing beside the Long River as the city’s iconic Ming cultural relic. Constructed entirely of granite, each layer boasts exquisite carvings of eaves, Buddha niches and warrior figures, remaining intact after over 400 years of storms and floods.

The viewing platform beside the tower overlooks the Long River, old residential buildings, sailing boats and distant hills. Sunset gilds the stone structure with warm golden light for soothing tranquil vibes. Free of excessive commercial development, the ancient tower overlooks riverside folk life. 

Visitors can appreciate delicate Ming stone carving craftsmanship, learn about Fuqing’s coastal defense and literary history of the Ming era, and stroll along the riverbank to unwind, releasing daily weariness amid the pagoda and river scenery.
