Tucked deep in Gushan Mountain’s forests, Gulingwo Nunnery is a small ancient shrine founded in the Song Dynasty, built closely along a natural grotto with a compact, simple layout instead of grand dimensions.
Shrouded in ancient woods and rarely visited by crowds, it bears almost no traces of commercial development, preserving Gushan’s thousand-year tranquil Zen atmosphere.
It is one of the few secluded spots on the mountain allowing visitors to escape urban hustle and immerse themselves in peaceful woodland serenity.
