Haiyin Cave, Gushan Mountain, Fuzhou

Hidden in dense woods of Gushan Scenic Area, Haiyin Cave is a legendary natural grotto. It derives its name from an ancient legend: meditating inside would let one faintly hear the surging tides of the distant Min River.

Surrounded by towering ancient trees in utter tranquility, its rock walls bear cliff inscriptions left by visitors across dynasties. 

Secluded from crowded main paths, it is a rare off-the-beaten-path retreat on Gushan Mountain that combines wild natural charm and serene Buddhist Zen ambiance.
