Liuzhou Ancestral Hall, Jiaocheng

Situated in Jiaocheng District, Ningde, Liuzhou Ancestral Hall was built by locals to commemorate Chen Ji, a distinguished Southern Song official who once governed Liuzhou Prefecture. 

Known for his integrity and remarkable governance, he won deep affection from the populace. Retaining a complete Ming and Qing wooden architectural structure adorned with delicate wood carvings on beams and doors, the hall stands as a vital venue carrying eastern Fujian’s thousand-year virtuous elder culture. 

It still functions to honor worthy predecessors and educate younger generations, embodying Jiaocheng’s long-standing tradition of valuing education and scholarship.
