Located along Jingda Road in old Fuzhou, the Seven-Star Wells form a landmark cluster of ancient wells in the historic city.
Arranged in alignment with the Big Dipper constellation, these seven wells have supplied drinking water to local residents since the Tang and Song dynasties. Their water stays clear and sweet all year round with a stable water level unaffected by droughts or floods, and several wells remain functional today.
Nestled among traditional dwellings, they preserve a one-of-a-kind lively scene coexisting with old houses, serving as a vivid testament to the folk culture of ancient Fuzhou.
