China Naval Shipbuilding Culture Park

China Naval Shipbuilding Culture Park is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. Located on the northern bank of the lower Min River in Mawei District, Fuzhou, it covers around 116 hectares and is roughly 20 kilometres away from downtown Fuzhou. Framed as a cultural compound, it reorganizes and integrates the closely connected heritage of China’s ancient shipbuilding administration, fully showcasing its status as the cradle of China’s national industry, modern navy and a dynamic venue for heritage revitalization. Centered on the well-preserved former shipbuilding premises, it ranks as China’s most intact and comprehensive cultural heritage site of modern industry, home to three national key cultural relic protection units and one provincial-level site.

Major scenic spots here include the Naval Shipbuilding Culture Museum, Fuzhou Majiang Battle Memorial Hall, Shipbuilding Mazu Temple, Luoxing Pagoda Park, Gezhi Garden, Chaojiang Tower, as well as workshop buildings dating back to different periods of the shipbuilding era.
