Near the Changjiang Ao area of Pingtan, strong sea winds blow all year round. Rows of impressive offshore “giant wind turbines” stretch across the sea. Their huge blades spin with the wind, continuously generating clean green electricity and sending it to thousands of homes.

According to statistics, Pingtan is one of the regions with the richest wind energy resources in China. The island has more than 230 square kilometers suitable for wind power development, with great potential for future growth. Today, Pingtan has built several wind farms, including both onshore and offshore projects.
