The Yinggeng Pagoda of Chongfu Temple is located inside Chongfu Temple in Licheng District, Quanzhou, Fujian Province. It covers an area of about 5 square meters and is an ancient structure from the Northern Song Dynasty. The pagoda is 10.9 meters high, with a base circumference of 8.16 meters. It is small in size and simple in design.
The Yinggeng Pagoda has survived through the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. As one of the earliest stone pagodas in Fujian, it has well-balanced proportions and a style very different from other Song Dynasty stone pagodas. It is an important reference for studying the construction and carving techniques of stone pagodas from the Song Dynasty. Glass objects unearthed at the site also show the prosperity of Quanzhou’s overseas trade during the Tang and Song dynasties.
