The Fuzhou Ryukyu Cemetery is a group of tombs for Ryukyu people who passed away while visiting or living in Fuzhou during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
More than 1,000 years ago, Fuzhou and the Ryukyu Kingdom already had frequent friendly exchanges. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the relationship between the people of Fuzhou and Ryukyu became even closer. The Ryukyu Tombs in Fuzhou are a symbol of this long-lasting friendship and close connection between the people of Fuzhou and Okinawa.
