In Fujian, there's a unique Manchu village called Qinjiang. Known as the "Baguacheng" where everyone speaks three languages, it's also one of the cradlelands of China's navy.
Located on the south bank of the Min River, Qinjiang is the only Manchu village in the province. During the reign of Emperor Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, a naval base blending Jiangnan elegance and Manchu features was built near the confluence of three rivers. 513 officers and soldiers moved here with their families by imperial decree.
Today, visitors can dress up in traditional Manchu costumes, explore former residences of local elites, and enjoy authentic Manchu cuisine.
