Wangmu Reef is located in the northeastern part of the Wenwusha Substrict in Changle District, Fujian Province.
The reef has two main rocks. One of them has two tall natural stones that look like the sails of a boat, called “Double-Sail Rocks.”
On the other rock stands an 8-meter-tall stone statue of Mazu. It is said that there used to be a Wangmu Temple on the reef. The temple is gone now, but a Mazu shrine with more than 600 years of history still remains on the rock.
