Fuzhou, a National Historical and Cultural City, was first named "Ye" during the Qin and Han dynasties. It was later renamed after a local mountain, Mount Fu, and is also known as Rongcheng, the "Banyan City." Its history, spanning over 2,200 years, has nurtured the rich and vibrant Mindu culture and forged a city spirit of "the belief that greatness comes from tolerance, much like an ocean is vast because it embraces all rivers."
