On July 22, the 2024 "A Tour for Root Seeking in Fujian" kicked off in Huaqiao University, where a team of 50 American born Chinese youths and the leaders from 34 middle schools of 17 U.S. States gathered.

东南网7月23日讯（通讯员 吴江辉）7月22日，来自美国17个州34所中学的50名华裔青少年及领队相聚华侨大学，开启2024年“寻根八闽”之旅。

During the 10 days activity, the youth would learn the excellent Chinese traditional culture, the dragon and lion dance, Chinese martial arts, Peking Opera facial mask painting, etc.; a visit to Tan Kah Kee Memorial Museum, Tan Kah Kee Former Residence and understand Kah Kee spirit; a walk to Kuliang, and understand the folk friendship between China and America, and review the Kuliang Story by paying a visit to Kuliang Club and Kuliang Hall of History and Culture; Chinese and American students cultural exchanges activities, such as "Affection in Fujian·Friendship Forever", are expected to make them feel, experience, then understand China, and the exchanges between Chinese and American youths would make a long-lasting and prosperous friendship.

在为期10天的活动中，华裔青少年将学习舞龙舞狮、中华武术、京剧脸谱绘画等中华优秀传统文化；参访陈嘉庚纪念馆、陈嘉庚故居，了解嘉庚精神；行走于鼓岭间，了解这片土地所承载的民间友谊，参观鼓岭万国公益社、鼓岭历史文化展示馆，重温鼓岭故事；参加“八闽情深·友谊永存”中美学生文化交流活动等，在寻根之旅中感知中国、体会中国、了解中国，并与中国的青少年交流互动，厚植一份友好情谊，共话未来成长。
