Zhangpu County: Puffer Fish Makes Hundred Million Yuan Village

漳浦县：一条河鲀鱼 游出亿元村

Puffer fish farming becomes a speciality in Fotan County.

Zhangpu County is the biggest puffer fish farming county in Fujian province. The farming are mostly located in Fotan County, which has a history of more than 20 years, and it extends more than 30 thousand mu(abt 20,000 hectares) and has annual production of more than 4 thousand tons and output value more than 700 million yuan(abt. 100 million dollars). Nowadays, the County is developing Fotan County into No.1 Puffer Fish County in China, while cultivating Dongban Village to No.1 Puffer Fish Village in China.

漳浦县是我省最大的河鲀养殖县，养殖基地主要集中在佛昙镇，养殖历史有20多年，养殖面积3万多亩，年产量4000多吨，产值7亿多元。目前，当地正把佛昙镇打造成“中国河鲀第一镇”，将东坂村打造成“中国河鲀第一村”。
