Fujian Province Has Set Up a Marine Innovation Laboratory(1)

[news on June 14] Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology has recently convened an expert panel to discuss the feasibility of constructing the Fujian Provincial Marine Innovation Laboratory. Relevant academicians and experts were invited to study the feasibility of the establishment of the laboratory from such aspects as technology, management and finance.

The application for the establishment of the marine innovation laboratory was led by the Municipal Government of Xiamen with the supporting institutions being Xiamen University and the Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources. The expert panel has fully recognized the imperative and urgency of establishing the marine innovation laboratory and held that the construction plan for the laboratory is fundamentally feasible.
