China is Set to Organize Space Defending System Against near-Earth Asteroids

我国将着手组建近地小行星防御系统

April 24^th is China Aerospace Day, also it is the day of the 52th anniversary of the 1^st man-made satellite "DFH-1 (Dongfanghong Number 1) " successful launch. In 1970 April 24^th, as soon as the “DFH-1” has been sent to the space, the song “Red is the East” can be received from the space and heard worldwide, which indicated that China entered the space age.

4月24日是中国航天日，也是我国第一颗人造地球卫星“东方红一号”成功发射52周年纪念日。1970年4月24日，我国首颗人造卫星“东方红一号”成功升空，一曲《东方红》响彻寰宇，宣告我国从此进入了太空时代。

Deputy Director of the National Space Administration Wu Yanhua claimed in the CCTV interview that China is set to organize the defending system against near-earth asteroids , in order to face and settle the threat from the potential attack from the near-earth asteroids and contribute China’s effort in protecting the earth and human being. 

国家航天局副局长吴艳华近日在接受总台央视记者专访时表示，我国将着手组建近地小行星防御系统，共同应对近地小行星撞击的威胁，为保护地球和人类安全贡献中国力量。
