On the evening of June 8, it's a scenery of bustle and excitement when a lot of people came to the banks of Nanxi and the stone bridge to watch several dragon boats racing in the stream in Sanxi Village, Jiangtian Town, Changle District, Fuzhou. 

6月8日晚，福州市长乐区江田镇三溪村，数十艘龙舟在小溪中竞技，南溪两岸及石桥上人潮涌动，热闹非凡。

"Dragon boat has been racing in day time for centuries, only the Sanxi dragon boat racing at night." Until now, the nighty dragon boat has been lasting for over 600 years. As a customs occured in Fujian, rare in China during Dragon Boat Festival, every few days before and after the Dragon Boat Festival, as the night comes and lights on, the dragon boats start racing in the stream and become a local scenery. 

“自古龙舟日竞渡，独有三溪夜赛航。”三溪村的夜赛龙舟已经沿袭600多年，作为福建独有、全国罕见的端午习俗，每年端午节前后，当夜色降临，华灯初上，村里灯光辉映，溪中龙舟竞发，成为当地独有的一道风景。
