A Competition of Transplanting Rice Seedlings

“When I am transplanting rice seedlings in the green field, coincidentally, I see the sky projected to the water. It is a wonderful moment when I stretch the body, then I take one step backward as to move forward!” 

“手拿青秧插满田，低头遍见水中天。抬头伸腰是神仙，退后原来是向前！”

On April 8^th, there was a lively competition about transplanting rice seedlings in Lianhua Village Lianhua Town Tongan District of Xiamen City. The local competitors rolled up trousers and rolled down sleeeves to participate in the competition and show rice transplanting skills.

4月8日，厦门市同安区莲花镇莲花村水田中满是热闹景致，来自当地不同村的种田选手卷起裤管、撩下衣袖，比拼传统插秧技能。

The transplanter showed up as well. It was said that the town had completed 1500 acres transplanting, and it’s to reach the goal of 4000-plus acres by the end of April. 

现场除了人工插秧，插秧机也同时登场。据了解，莲花镇已完成1500亩的种植，4月底将完成4000余亩的目标。
